TIE- DYE SARI
Tie-dye is a modern term invented in the mid-1960s in the United states for a set of ancient resist dyeing technique and for the products of these processes. This processes consists of folding'twisting' pleating or crumbling fabric and binding with string or rubber bands followed by application of dyes called resists.
Shibori a form of tie -dye that originated in Japan and Indonesia.
Bandhna a term from India 'giving rise to the Bandhini fabrics of Rajastan.
Ikat is a method of tie-dyeing the wrap before the cloth is woven.
Mudmee tie dye originated in Thailand and neighbouring part of Laos. It uses different shapes and colours from other types of tie& die .Its base colour will be black.
